The gift of Precious Blood spirituality can be symbolized in the images of the cup, the cross and the covenant. We are united in the blood of Christ, the cup which we are offered at the Eucharist. As Jesus shed his blood for all, so we are called to pour out our life blood and spirit in service to the people of God.

We see the perfect example of sacrifice and reconciliation
with the cross. As we stand at the foot of the cross
contemplating the divine mystery of life and death, birth
and rebirth, sin and forgiveness, we are drawn into a
greater understanding of the nature of God's love.

The covenant is the pledge between God and us. It binds
us to God as his people. Both biblical and personal, the
covenant keeps us at God's side and in his sight.

Through the cup, the cross and the covenant, we come
to know the great reach of God's love for us. And with that knowledge, we are called to share God's love with others, especially those who need it the most.

Jesus asked, "Can you drink the cup I drink?" (Mark 19: 38) Can you stand at the foot of the cross? Can you acknowledge your relationship of unconditional love with God?
