C.PP.S. Bicentennial Celebrated in Chile
The Missionaries of the Precious Blood in Chile marked the bicentennial of the C.PP.S. with celebrations at its parishes in Purranque and Valdivia.
On August 29, the Precious Blood family, which includes a Chilean Precious Blood congregation of nuns in addition to the Sisters of the Precious Blood (of Dayton) and the C.PP.S. Missionaries, attended a day of recollection with lay people who belong to several Precious Blood spirituality groups.
The day included a festive lunch that ended with a eucharistic celebration. Bishop Galo Fernández, the auxilliary bishop of the archiocese of Santiago, presided.
The Mass was concelebrated by seven C.PP.S. priests and a deacon and attended by nearly 600 people from the Congregation’s ministry sites in Santiago.
