What drew you to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood?
Actually when I first went to Brunnerdale Seminary, the Missionaries were all I knew. After studying with the C.PP.S. I began to feel like this was a “fit” for me. I liked the variety of ministries in the C.PP.S. and the friendships among the Community members.

What is your current assignment?
I am a Professor of Religion at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN. I also teach courses for the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana’s Ecclesial Lay Ministry Program.

What is the most challenging aspect of your assignment?
Trying to help maintain and enhance the charism of the Missionaries at the College. It becomes more challenging when there are fewer members serving here.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your assignment?
The variety of things I get to do and the changing nature of our College community – there’s always new faces each August. I enjoy teaching and most enjoy when my students “get it” and a difficult concept becomes clear to them. It’s also rewarding to help students clarify the values they will take on in their life and work.

What did you do before joining the Missionaries?
I am what we referred to as a “lifer” -high school, College and theologate were with the C.PP.S.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy travel and photography. I do lots of photos for the College and for the athletic teams here. I also am trying to visit all 50 States — only about seven to go yet.
