The 2012 assembly of the Cincinnati Province looked to the future, as the Missionaries of the Precious Blood accepted the first commitment of candidate Matthew Keller and the first covenants of 14 Companions.
Keller, the son of Paul and Carol Keller of Maria Stein, Ohio, now enters special formation.
Also during the assembly, held May 21-24 at St. Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio, Missionaries and Companions extended their hands in a blessing over the newly appointed Companions leadership team of Director Phillis Fuller-Clipps and Associate Directors Debbie O'Malley and Marie Trout. The appointments take effect on August 1.
Fourteen Companions (lay associates) made their first covenant with the Missionaries. Companion covenants are a commitment to walk, pray and study with members of the Congregation.
The Missionaries hold an annual retreat to reconnect with each other, discuss Community business, pray and worship together, and attend workshops to help them in their ministries.
