Jubilarians representing 650 years of ministry to the people of God were recognized during a liturgy on July 1, the Feast of the Precious Blood, at St. Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio.

“We celebrate how God has worked through these priests and brothers over all those years,” said Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn, C.PP.S., who presided. “God has worked through them in ways that they may not even be aware of. God works through us in countless ways that we may never even notice at the time.”

Jubilarians present at the event from the Cincinnati Province were Fr. Leonard Kostka, C.PP.S., 76 years; Frs. James Dugal, C.PP.S., and Robert Kunisch, C.PP.S., 60 years; and Fr. Thomas Brenberger, C.PP.S., and Br. Paul Chase, C.PP.S., 50 years.

Unable to attend were Fr. Ernest Krantz, C.PP.S., 40 years; and Fr. Jeffrey Keyes, C.PP.S., Fr. Dionicio Alberca, C.PP.S., of the Peruvian mission, and Fr. Marco Tulio Recinos, C.PP.S., of the Central American mission, 25 years.

After the liturgy, the jubilarians and their family members, along with Community members, Companions, Amici and friends, enjoyed a social and dinner at St. Charles.
