Fr. Dave Kelly, C.PP.S., Works for Justice


Fr. Dave Kelly, C.PP.S., was quoted in a New York Times story about a man imprisoned in Illinois who hopes to gain his freedom.

The New York Times has published a feature story about Adolfo Davis, 38, who has been imprisoned in Illinois for murder since he was 14 years old.

The story tells of Davis' struggles to come to grip with his difficult childhood, his anger and frustration with his situation, and his efforts to redeem himself. While in prison, Davis has earned a high school diploma, turned to poetry to express himself, and is now a mentor to young men who find themselves in similar circumstances.

Walking with him on his journey toward redemption has been Fr. Dave Kelly, C.PP.S. Fr. Kelly is the director of the Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation. You can read more about Davis' difficult road in the article.
