We are counting down to the first Religious Brothers Day in the U.S., on May 1, the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, by sharing stories about our wonderful C.PP.S. brothers. Brother Santos Mateo, C.PP.S., ministers in Lima, Peru.

Brother Santos, who became a religious brother in 1999, is a native of the Masma District in the Jauja Province of Peru. Brother Santos, shown here at right with Fr. Edgardo Chero, C.PP.S., has been in parish ministry for many years, and is always willing to lend a hand in other ways. His big smile lights up the room.

It’s been a joy and privilege to share these profiles of our C.PP.S. brothers with you. If you see a brother on May 1, Religious Brothers Day, please let him know how much you appreciate his life of service to the Church! May God bless all religious brothers, on their special day and always.
