The Missionaries of the Precious Blood are pleased to announce the 50th anniversary of the ordination of Fr. Dennis Kinderman, C.PP.S.
Fr. Kinderman, 78, a native of Dayton, Ohio, entered the society in 1953 and was ordained on June 3, 1967. He has been a pastor, campus minister and has worked with lay associates and with youth.
After his ordination, Fr. Kinderman served for many years at St. Mark Church in Cincinnati, becoming pastor in 1971. In 1988, he became a campus minister at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Ind. He also was a member of a retreat and renewal team at that time. Fr. Kinderman was elected vice-provincial director in 1990.
In 1993 he was named director of Companions, the Society’s lay associates. Since 2003, he has been in ministry with the Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation in Chicago.
Fr. Kinderman’s anniversary, along with the milestone anniversaries of 11 other Missionaries of the Precious Blood of the Cincinnati Province, signifying hundreds of years of ministerial service to God’s people, will be celebrated in a special liturgy on June 30 at St. Charles Center.
“We look to these priests and brothers who are celebrating their anniversaries this year as examples of those who have faithfully listened to God's call,” said Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn, C.PP.S., provincial director. “They have said ‘yes’ to that call, and that in turn has led them to minister to the people of God in many ways, in many places. Their lives of service inspire us all.”
