The Missionaries of the Precious Blood are pleased to announce the 25th anniversary of the ordination of Fr. Robin Urrutia, C.PP.S.

Fr. Urrutia, 57, a native of Peru, was ordained in 1992. Most of his years as a priest have been spent in parish ministry. In Peru, he served in La Oroya, above the tree line in the Andes. Currently, he is in ministry with the C.PP.S. ad experimentum mission in Colombia, where he is the pastor of Our Lady of the Alps Church in Bogotá.

Fr. Urrutia’s anniversary, along with the milestone anniversaries of 11 other Missionaries of the Precious Blood of the Cincinnati Province, signifying hundreds of years of ministerial service to God’s people, will be celebrated in a special liturgy on June 30 at St. Charles Center.

“We look to these priests and brothers who are celebrating their anniversaries this year as examples of those who have faithfully listened to God's call,” said Fr. Larry Hemmelgarn, C.PP.S., provincial director. “They have said ‘yes’ to that call, and that in turn has led them to minister to the people of God in many ways, in many places. Their lives of service inspire us all.”
