Torrent of Mercy Part 2 of the special Restoring Hope series is coming August 31!

God’s mercy isn’t a trickle—it’s a torrent. Flowing from the pierced side of Christ, God’s mercy brings forgiveness, healing, reconciliation, and new life to a wounded world. The spirituality of the Precious Blood invites us to encounter that mercy personally and then share its transforming power with those around us. Wherever there’s suffering, division, or discouragement, Christ’s mercy offers a path toward hope and renewal. In the second part of Fr. Patrick Gonyeau’s inspirational Restoring Hope episode, reflect on the “torrent of mercy” and discover the boundless love God pours out for each of us.

The Life of the Day Laborer

The Life of the Day Laborer

By Angelo Anthony, C.PP.S. Our initial reaction to today’s parable about the laborers in the vineyard might be to say, “That’s not fair.” If those who worked only one hour received the usual daily wage it stands to reason that those who worked all day in the hot sun...

Comfortably on the “Good” Side

By Brother Matthew Schaefer, C.PP.S. How many times have we heard people who quit going to church talk about the hypocrisy of Christians? It has become almost a cliché. Yet it is an accusation that is hard to dispute. At Mass we faithfully admit our sinfulness; then...

There’s a Time for Confrontation

By Fr. Matt Keller, C.PP.S.  First off, I must admit I am a human being and part of my humanity is that I am subject to making mistakes. I also have problems from time-to-time. Not only am I subject to making mistakes and having problems, but sometimes I am blind to...

Brother Bernie’s Memorial Gets a Rebuild

The problem with Br. Bernie Barga’s memorial was that it was too much like Br. Bernie. Br. Bernie Barga, C.PP.S. (1928-2001), was a force of nature—and a force for good. Boisterous and affectionate, he greeted people with “I LOVE you,” and then followed up with...
