When James Smith and Matt Keller made a lifelong commitment to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, James’ favorite moment was the exchange of peace among the Missionaries during the liturgy. It came home to him that he was, indeed, coming home.

As he makes his lifelong commitment (definitive incorporation) with the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, James Smith, C.PP.S., reflects that it’s not a step he had to take on his own – his religious community fully supports him and fellow candidate Matt Keller, C.PP.S.

“Glory Be to Jesus” is a Precious Blood hymn that is sung with gusto at Community celebrations at St. Charles Center. Here, Fr. Vince Wirtner, C.PP.S., presides at the end of a Mass for Companions (lay associates) at the 2016 provincial assembly in May, in the Assumption Chapel at St. Charles Center, Carthagena, Ohio.

Hear Fr. David Kelly, C.PP.S., talk about the “radical hospitality” of the Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation in Chicago, and the restorative justice that is championed there.

Thanks to Deacon Tomás Alva, C.PP.S., for putting this together.
