What drew you to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood?
My home parish was staffed by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, and their down to earth presence was attractive to me as I discerned God’s call. I come from a large family and community life is important to me.
What is your current assignment?
I serve as pastor of three parishes in Downtown Dayton, Ohio—St. Joseph, Emmanuel and Holy Trinity.
What is the most challenging aspect of your assignment?
Pastoring three parishes that have parishioners from 40 zip code areas demands flexibility and patience as we seek to build community.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your assignment?
The great diversity of people means there is never a dull moment.
What did you do before joining the Missionaries?
I was a florist in a flower shop in Wapakoneta, Ohio.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy gardening, doing floral arrangements, music and helping to plan community events.
Aside from St. Gaspar, what are some of your favorite Saints?
St. Anthony of Padua, St. Phillip Neri, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Francis of Assisi, Our Lady of the Precious Blood.
