What drew you to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood?
I loved the community focus on the Precious Blood. As a former Baptist, I had a devotional love for the Precious Blood of Jesus. In addition, I liked its history of preaching missions, retreats, and working in hospitals and parishes.

What is your current assignment?
I serve as a parochial vicar in Dayton, Ohio at Precious Blood, St. Rita and St. Paul parishes.

What is the most challenging aspect of your assignment?
Being a missionary means openness and flexibility. I’m finding as I get older I need to work on being more open to change.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your assignment?
Preaching and teaching Bible. Spiritual direction.

What did you do before joining the Missionaries?
I worked in retail at K-mart for ten years.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Reading, walking, cooking, watching movies, visiting museums and bookstores and seeing nature and antiques.

Aside from St. Gaspar, what are some of your favorite Saints?
Mother Theodore Guerin, St. Therese of Lisuex, St. John 23rd.

What is your favorite prayer?
The Serenity Prayer. It’s my favorite go to prayer in any situation.

Probably $3,000.00 dollars. Second place.
