A Feast Day Message from the Provincial Director
Today with the Church around the world, we celebrate the Feast of the Precious Blood. This is precious to us, as it is at the heart of our Congregation, providing the purpose of our mission and the inspiration for all that we do.
We believe that the Precious Blood offers peace and healing to a world very much in need of it. The Precious Blood, which Jesus poured out for us on the cross, has the power to reconcile us to God, and to bring all people together. We have seen it at work in our own lives and in the lives of those we serve.
Also on this day, we celebrate the milestone anniversaries of 12 of our members who ministered as Missionaries for a remarkable 600 combined years. One of these is Fr. Donald Thieman, C.PP.S., the oldest Missionary in our worldwide Congregation, who has been ordained for 70 years. Ask him or any of our Missionaries how the Precious Blood has been a balm and a beacon—and it will do the same for you and all of creation.
Fr. Jeffrey Kirch, C.PP.S., is the provincial director of the United States Province.
