Meeting in their General Assembly in Częstochowa, Poland, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood have chosen Fr. Emanuele Lupi, C.PP.S., to be their next moderator general.
The moderator general serves as the animator for the Congregation, which is in ministry in 20 countries around the globe.
Fr. Emanuele Lupi, a member of the Italian Province and currently serves as Secretary General.
Completing his six-year term as moderator general is Fr. Bill Nordenbrock, C.PP.S., a member of the Cincinnati Province. Fr. Nordenbrock, C.PP.S., shared, “With the selection of Fr. Emanuele Lupi as our next Moderator General, I believe that the members of the General Assembly were faithful in listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Fr. Emanuele has a deep love for the history, charism and spirituality of the Congregation. As Vice-Moderator General, we have worked closely for the past 6 years and he has a full understanding of the current context of the Congregation, in terms of our apostolate and Community Life. He has lived and work in four different units of the Congregation and is a fluent communicator in multiple languages. He has had unique preparation to lead our Congregation and to foster our international identity. As the General Assembly continues our journey of discerns for creation of our faithful future.”
