Around the globe, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood carry the Gospel message of Good News, of the healing offered through the Precious Blood, to all people. We’re honored to serve those who dwell in the margins, for that is where we do His work. There is still much to be done.

Will you assist us in continuing to help these people of faith? The Missionaries of the Precious Blood thank you for your support and generosity—we cannot do this work without your financial assistance. We hope that you will consider a donation to help us to carry on His mission in both Latin America and Vietnam.

Please join us in prayer for Ascension Thursday.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, right before your ascension into heaven, you told your apostles to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth upon receiving the Holy Spirit. May I be similarly inspired to spread your Gospel message in word and deed, according to your will for me. And may I do so prudently and joyfully, with your help, your guidance, and your grace! And remembering this glorious event, help me to seek what is above, Heaven, where you are seated at the right hand of God the Father!

The Catholic Media Association is helping to promote the film Wildcat, about Southern Gothic writer Flannery O’Connor, starring Maya Hawke of the Netflick series Stranger Things, and directed by her father, Academy Award® nominee Ethan Hawke. Not without controversy, Wildcat chronicles O’Connor’s belief that devoting oneself to making art is an egoless and honest act of piety, even as the writer herself struggled with her own racist beliefs vs. the practice of her Catholic faith. According to producers, Wildcat was made out of love for O’Connor’s work, as well as for the flawed, human, paradoxical genius who authored it. Wildcat is playing in select theaters nationwide in May and June. Contact screenings@carmelcommunications.com to request showtimes or a group screening. #wildcatmovie www.wildcat.oscilloscope.net

By Fr. Tim Knepper, C.PP.S. A while back, I went to my local barber for a haircut. He knew I was a Catholic priest, and so religious and theological topics came up all the time. He attended a non-denominational Protestant church, and so this was my small part in...
