What drew you to the Missionaries of the Precious Blood?
I grew up in a C.PP.S. parish and had Precious Blood Sisters in school. New Riegel is the cradle of the C.PP.S. community in this country. I was raised in a very Catholic culture in which the Church was the center of the community’s life.
What is your current assignment?
Pastor, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ottawa Ohio.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your assignment?
As a priest, people open up their hearts and souls to us, and we are privileged to be able to walk with them on their faith journey.
What did you do before joining the Missionaries?
Worked as a machinist after high school.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy the outdoors and manual labor.
Aside from St. Gaspar, who are some of your favorite Saints?
Obviously the Blessed Mother comes first. St. Joseph is a favorite of mine as well as St. John Paul II. John Paul II was Pope when I was in formation and ordained, and I view him as a great role model.
What is your favorite prayer?
The Angelus
The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Neither. I can’t swim and am not crazy about heights. Rather keep my feet on the ground.
