Our Fr. Steve Dos Santos, C.PP.S., was one of several religious to offer a reflection on Pope Francis’ Fratelli Tutti as part of this year’s celebration of the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life.

Fr. Steve spoke about the Missionaries’ bond of charity and how it is lived out.

“It is the organizing principle of my community,” he said. “Frankly, I don’t think it’s a new idea to anyone in consecrated life. Consecrated life has always been an attempt to live caritas in a way that is true, powerful and effective.”

In his talk, Fr. Steve issued a call to action. He said that implicit in the bond of charity is there is the need to “move from warm feelings and good intentions into deeper connection and effective action for the good of another.”

In that way, “we become a world where we truly are all brothers and sisters together.”

Over 600 religious gathered online on February 2 to hear the reflections. You can view Fr. Steve’s reflection here or view below.
